Talk to your friends. There is no better referral than a personal recommendation from a friend you trust.
Let’s say you have just relocated and are looking for a new acupuncturist. Put “ the best acupuncturist near me “into your Google search and see what comes up. Please do not pay attention to any sponsored links and directories that come on the top of the search / they are paid for / Pay attention to Google reviews instead.
Location. Remember to consider the distance you would have to travel. You might want to travel about 10 - 15 min; if it is longer than that, you will give up.
Contact your acupuncturist and watch what happens. How quickly is your phone message or email answered? If you do not hear from your provider for the next three days, the same pattern will likely be in future communication.
I highly recommend talking to your provider before you come to make sure you are a mutually good fit. I offer 15 complementary calls for anyone interested in my services.
Be an educated consumer. If you do not have a vigorous needling technique, ask about Japanese acupuncture. Ask how many treatment rooms your acupuncturist tends to in a one-hour appointment. This will clearly indicate whether all the focus will be on you or two to three more people simultaneously.
Payment. If you plan to use your insurance, ensure you are clear about your deductibles and copays so there are no surprises.
I offer all of my clients a complementary questionnaire to ask about their insurance to
help them navigate coverage.
Good luck
